Winding Down Nate Ave.

Its mid-August, it’s raining, and it feels cool outside. Right now the weather is feeling like early fall. Thats right, we finally got a break from the heat of the dog days of summer. It’s kind of like a preview of the fall. This time of the year is always bittersweet for me though. On one hand, I absolutely love the summer and the heat that goes with it. I have always said that spring is the most beautiful season of the year while summer is my favorite. And I’ll stand by that; I’m just not a cold-weather person. I love the scorching hot 100 degree weather that we get every so often. So, needless to say, I am sad that the summer will be coming to a close before too long. On the other hand, a lot of great things come with fall.

First and foremost, with fall comes football. FOOTBALL!!! That’s right. We all know it. We all love it. And being here in KC, we have a lot to look forward to this season. Of course we’re not expecting to win a championship or even make it to the playoffs this year, but hopes are high as we have a new regime in place with cornerstones Romeo Crennel and Charlie Weiss flanking Todd Haley as defensive and offensive coordinators respectively. Add new draftee Dexter McCluster into the mix with Jamaal Charles and we have a pretty interesting young duo. It may be a year or two, but I feel that the Chiefs are headed in the right direction. Add the fact that we have a newly renovated Arrowhead Stadium and we are in business.

In addition to football, there are a few things I am looking forward to watching on the boob tube this fall. First off is “Sons of Anarchy“. I love that show. It was just the right show for me after witnessing the awesomeness called “The Shield” come to an end a couple years ago. I have been waiting patiently for close to a year to see what will happen in this season of SOA after last year’s cliffhanger ending. Next, we have the always funny “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” showing up. That is for sure going to be a crowd pleaser.

SAMCRO

Now, here is the time where I begin to speculate. Its usually fall when a new season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” airs. Now I haven’t heard much with regards to a new season of Curb, but one can only hope that Larry comes around this year with a new season. That would be icing on the cake.

So, with the hopes that a new season of Curb will air this year, I will extend a coupon to you in commemoration to Larry David. With the coupon code “Luv2Larry”, you will receive 10% off any flat-rate repair that is placed on our site. Simply add the flat-rate repair to your cart, and punch in the coupon code to receive the discount. This coupon code is valid from August 17, 2010 to August 24, 2010.

Love'm.

Until next time, with sincere regards, my kindest and warmest best wishes,
