Ways to Protect Your Smartphone While Outside

smartphoneAs the weather gets warmer in many areas of the country, people will head outdoors. Since smartphones often go wherever people go, they go outside too. The problem is that smartphones then become vulnerable to damage. Cement and water are not best friends to smartphones. With that being said, here are some tips to keep your phone safe this spring.

Hold or Use a Holder for Running

If you’re going for a run, don’t just throw your phone into your pocket. Chances are, it will fall out. That means a cracked screen or worse. Either hold your phone while you run or use an armband to keep it safe.

Place it Somewhere Safe

The other day I saw a friend place her phone on her car, forget about it and drive off. I don’t have to tell you what happened… Be mindful of where you place your phone, so you don’t end up with the same nightmare.

Keep It Away from Water Fun

Unless you get a waterproof case, you need to keep your phone at home or far away from water. Even a splash can cause water damage.

Amusement Park Security

Amusement parks are fun, but not for your phone. Sure, it’s cool to take a video of you screaming on the coaster, but dropping it as you go around the loops will make you scream even longer. Leave your phone in your car or in a locker. The awesome coaster videos and selfies are just not worth losing your phone.
