Happy post-Super Bowl everyone! The sports world is abuzz this week with all the excitement! And by abuzz, I mean a slow and sobering realization that there’s no more football for another six and a half months. Unless you happen to be a Giants fan, then the party keeps rolling. If you’re not a Giants fan, then perhaps you have baseball or basketball to look forward to. We here in Kansas City are right in the middle of two of the finest collegiate basketball programs in the country; although Mizzou decidedly has a leg up on Kansas after a three point come from behind victory in Columbia last weekend. Be sure iResQ’s GM Brian, a Mizzou alum, is delighted this week. Unfortunately we have no NBA team despite a stellar downtown arena, and the punchline of all MLB, the Royals.
We also have minor league hockey- I went and checked out the Missouri Mavericks, our very own CHL team last night. Let me say, and I mean this with all appreciation in earnest, minor league hockey is one of the most glorious sociological experiences I have ever had the pleasure of partaking in. Right up to the corporately sponsored and obligatory fights and the Biggest Dent giveaway, in which a parking lot monitor reports the car with the largest dent and its owner receives a gift certificate for a local restaurant. Amazing. Also, the 2-1 overtime victory lit the crowd up.
Here’s an iPhone 4 Instagram shot from our box seats:
I just need a waterfall flowing down a flight of stairs and it would pass for a Scott Mutter piece.
Ah, now onto MacBook screen repair. It’s been a little while since we’ve had a good old fashioned MacBook screen repair or MacBook Pro screen repair coupon! Congratulations, Packer nation. Stellar victory last night, though shaky at a few points in the second half when the Steelers defense was pushing around your young O-line. Despite the fact that I’m a bit of an AFC homer, I was really pulling for you from the beginning. The Packers, though younger and smaller and generally perceived as not as tough as their Pittsburgh opponents, had such a complete team this year, and it showed over the course of sixty minutes in Dallas. And Rodgers, I have to say, really deserved it. Steve Young would have a few things to say about Rodgers getting that monkey off his back. He’s now won as many Super Bowls as his iconic predecessor, and with just as much flair. Speaking of flair, I’ll work on getting some pictures of our own Bryan Moeller’s second consecutive Twinkie and guacamole football stadium. It’s a thing of magnificence. Stay tuned.
Did you take note of the AT&T and Verizon ads amidst all the monkeys and babies and Eminem? Things are really gearing up for Verizon who, after the last three years of waiting and trying to downplay the superiority of the iPhone, finally gets to talk about how great it is:
So, once again, if you’re on Verizon and you’re clamoring, Apple retail stores will have it in only three more days. Enjoy the week, everybody. FOOTBALL!

Big week, friends. Saints win their first Super Bowl. Denny’s is once again giving away free breakfast type foods. And yours truly has a birthday. Yep, the big magical 2-7, the age when all your dreams come true. Huzzah. Oh, yeah. And MacWorld Expo is coming. Should be plenty of questions and speculations and rumors and possibly answers regarding the iPad, fourth generation iPhone and the future of the MacBook and iPod.
Here at iResQ we’re getting ramped up for iPad and new iPhone repairs, available immediately after product release. It’s always exciting when we get to open up a new device after repairing tens of thousands of the old ones over and over again. Hey sports fans. Sorry to leave you hanging earlier this week- I was still digesting the grayish-brown hillock of bean dip, barbecued meatballs and li’l smokies from Sunday night. You all have a good Super Bowl night? One heck of a fourth quarter, indeed. I usually root for the AFC, and I’m happy for the Steelers and their fans, but I was definitely pulling for a Cardinals comeback there toward the end. Mostly because, as a Chiefs fan, I’m used to what being the underdog feels like. So it goes. A great game, an excess of greasy food, the Boss getting up close and personal with the camera- what more could you ask for? I’ll tell you what. How about $10 off your next MacBook or MacBook Pro LCD repair? Well, and September to get here so the 2009 season can start.
Send your web confirmation number or invoice number to firstname.lastname@example.org to get your discount. And don’t think I’ve forgotten about you Glam fans out there. Trivia is coming. Kickstart my heart.
