Salutations, friends. Everybody still enjoying their 3G iPhones? If you’re one of the millions who have already bought one, consider yourself one lucky dog. (Cue heavy-handed segue in 3, 2, 1…) And speaking of lucky dogs (thank you, thank you), have I got the deal of lifetime for you folks. Ever since my wife and I adopted our border collie Maddie from a Wichita shelter last summer, I’ve kind of been pushing the whole dog adoption thing on unsuspecting friends and family. And now you people. Now, I don’t mean to criticize breeders and expensive pet shops that sell puppies by the barrel- people need a place to buy $1500 pedigrees too. But if you’re considering adopting a dog or cat, be sure to check out your local Humane Society or Animal Control Shelter first. There are thousands of great animals out there looking for homes, and I’ve always had great luck with the dogs I’ve rescued.
So here’s the deal- If you’re ordering a repair for an iBook, PowerBook, MacBook or MacBook Pro, enclose a receipt from a shelter or Humane Society for a dog or cat you adopted between now and September 30th and I’ll take $50 off your total. If you’re in the Kansas City area, check out Kansas City REGAP, an organization that finds homes for retired racing greyhounds. If you adopt a greyhound through KC REGAP, it’s $50 off and an iResQ t-shirt. Check out some of the dogs available in the Olathe area below, and Maddie cruising in the front seat of my Jeep.
