What to Do When an iPad Breaks in Its Case

iPad / iPad

ipad screen repairMany people spend almost $100 on a case for their iPad. They believe that their device will be indestructible with it. That belief vanishes when they drop their device or their child chucks it across a room and then see that the glass inside is shattered. How could this have happened?

No case is going to keep your iPad 100% secure. While a small drop will protect the device, a drop that is far off the ground or floor or any pressure on the front of it will end up cracking it.

Your first instinct may be to take it out of the case. That’s probably not a good idea. If you do that, all of the glass will be everywhere. That could cause cuts on your hands and feet when you step on the glass that made it to the floor.

It’s best to just keep the case on your device.

What if you need to send your device in for a repair?

iPad Screen Repair at iResQ

It’s likely you want to get the cracked screen on your iPad replaced. Hopefully, you’re choosing us to have that done. If you do, you don’t have to worry about a thing. Just send your iPad in with the case.

Our certified technicians will carefully remove the case from your iPad. They will clean it up, and dispose of the glass carefully.

After they clean the case and your iPad up, they will remove the screen you have on there now, and replace it with a brand new one. This may include replacing both the digitizer and the LCD or just the LCD depending on how back the damage is to your device.

Once everything looks new again, they will package it up for you – the iPad and the case (separately). You will receive them both in the returned box, and then you can decide if you want to put the case back on your device.
