Improving the Battery Life of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Samsung Galaxy Note Repair Service / Samsung Galaxy Note Repair Service

No matter how long your battery life is on your Samsung Galaxy Note 5, it’s likely you would rather have more. The good news is that there are ways to save some battery while you’re using your fabulous phablet.

Turn Power Saving Mode On

When you turn power saving mode on, you limit the CPU, turn down the brightness, and quicken screen timeout. These settings won’t give you hours of more battery life, but it will give you a little more, and that’s all that counts.

There are other power saving modes, but most them will give you limited use of your smartphone. This won’t make you happy unless you really need to save your battery (maybe you forgot your charger at home).

Turn Down the Brightness

You wouldn’t believe how much power it takes to light your Note. It’s a ton! Just turning down the brightness can help you save a good amount of battery life.

Shorten Your Screen Timeout

Screen timeout is that time that it cuts off after you’re not using it anymore. All you have to do is go to Settings>Display>Screen timeout. Play around with it, so you know how long you really need it to wait before turning off. For example, you don’t want to look away from it for a minute and have it turn off on you while you’re in the middle of something.

Check Apps for Abnormal Battery Usage

The people at Samsung are nice. They gave us the ability to identify apps that are being bad to our battery. All you have to do is go to the Battery section under settings. There, you will see a list of apps. Any apps that are drawing more battery juice than it should will be identified as having “Abnormal Battery Usage.” You can then delete that app, or you can do something the settings of the app that may be able to lower the dependence it has on your battery.

Try these tips with your Note 5. You may find it keeps you from plugging it in as often, which is always nice.
