Fire Herm Dot Com

Ok. I am now officially done with Herm Edwards. I know, I know. He’s a nice guy. He took the Jets to the playoffs three of his five years with the franchise. And, yes, he did manage to somehow Forrest Gump his way into the post season his first year in Kansas City. But seriously- it should be mandatory for every coach in the NFL to take a course in play calling as a prerequisite. Third and 18 with four minutes to go? Let’s run it and then give it back to Peyton Manning, the best clock manager in the league. Oh, then we’ll lose to the Raiders at home. But I digress.

So let’s talk Apple rumors. Whispers about the upcoming Ultra Portable finds us all geeking out. Performance like a MacBook (only faster), super-convenient slim packaging of a MacBook (only slimmer), and a fresh aluminum casing like Big Brother Pro. No more nasty discoloration of the plastics? I’m in. Too bad it’s too late to slip into the pre-holiday market and under my tree. So it goes. But hear me, Steve Jobs! I’ll show you next year! I’ll buy that Ultra Portable whether you like it or not! In the meantime, I’m going to buy some new Chuck Taylors. Check out their website where you can design your own. Here’s mine:

By next September I’ll have my red and yellow Chiefs Chucks ready to go for our new head coach. Viva la Bill Cowher!
