Children often don’t realize the expense and importance of their very first cell phone, but hey, adults break theirs all the time too, right? Let us fix their device quickly and easily so you can go back to worrying about the important things.

Kids Break Things

It happens. One minute, you’re watching your eight-year-old play with their brand new cell phone innocently on the couch, the next, they’ve cracked the entire screen and don’t seem to understand how they did it. Whether they dropped it in the toilet, ran over it with their bike, or accidentally blew it up, we’ve seen it all.

This isn’t a reason to avoid giving your kid a phone. We understand that, in this day and age, it’s important for children to have these devices in case of an emergency and even because most children do have them. Why Won’t My iPhone Connect to Wifi?

Thursday, August 10th, 2017

It’s usually a good idea to connect your phone to a wifi network when you’re in range of one you can trust. This way, you won’t be using up all your data and you can get to where you’re going faster. However, sometimes our phones just won’t connect to the wifi network, even if we have the right password. So what’s up?

Make Sure Your Wifi Is On

When you try to connect to your wifi network on your phone, make sure you have your wifi settings turned on. Your phone won’t be able to find the network if its settings are off.

Check Your Router

Once you’ve checked to make sure you put in the right password, try checking your wireless router. Make sure it is turned on and that you are within the necessary range of the router itself. You may even want to turn it off and then on again. Sometimes, the problem is just that simple.

Update Your Operating System

You may be having trouble because your phone’s operating system isn’t up to date. You can check this by going into your settings and seeing if an update is available. If it is, it’s just a matter of waiting until the system updates. Then you can try connecting to the wifi again.

Reset Your Network Settings

This is another option you can use to fix the issue of connecting to your wifi network, especially if the option to click on the network is grayed out on your phone. Go into your settings and under general and reset, you’ll find an option to reset your network settings. This will also reset your saved passwords for any wifi networks, so make sure you have the password on hand when you’re ready to try reconnecting.

My Phone Still Won’t Connect

If you’re still having trouble connecting to wifi, it could be a bigger problem than these quick fixes can solve. Bring your phone to us, or let us come to you, and we’ll find out what the problem is.

We will give your phone a free diagnostic test where we will let you know exactly what is wrong with it and what our repairs will entail. Then we will fix your device and have it back to you within 24 hours of when you first brought it to us. Now that’s a fast solution.

Why You Should Never Try to Fix a Cracked Screen Yourself

Thursday, May 4th, 2017

So you dropped your phone, and now the screen is cracked. You may be thinking to yourself that you could save a lot of money by replacing the screen at home. After all, it would be much cheaper than buying a new phone right?

Though you may be a totally capable fixer when it comes to household projects or cars, it’s important to always see a professional when it comes to fixing a cracked phone screen.

Why Do I Need a Professional to Replace My Screen?

Trust us. We know there are about a thousand YouTube videos out there telling you it’s easy to replace a cracked phone screen and that you can DIY the whole thing, saving you money and time. But the truth is, this type of easy-fix isn’t the safest option.

  • If you try to replace your phone screen yourself, you could potentially fry the phone, crack the screen even more, or make a hundred other mistakes that could damage your device more than it already was.
  • Working on a broken phone is meticulous and requires a steady hand. Usually people who don’t have any experience with this kind of work make mistakes.
  • Life hacks are great and all, but using tools you have around the house to fix your phone just won’t cut it. Most people don’t have the necessary tools to replace a phone screen anyway, and buying them is just an unnecessary expense. Plus, unless you break your phone screen constantly, would you really want to buy something you won’t need more than once?
  • What’s more, repair kits you can buy to fix your phone at home are often more expensive than taking it to a professional. And at least with the latter, you know it’ll be done right.

You may be thinking the easier option would be to just fix your phone at home, but in truth, it is actually cheaper, faster, and safer to have a professional fix your cracked screen for you. There’s no research required on your end and you can feel satisfied knowing your smartphone is in good hands.

Got a Cracked Screen?

If your cell phone screen is cracked, let us fix it for you. Your initial diagnostic is free, and we will get your phone back into your hands as soon as possible and as good as new. Call today.

5 Phone Repair Myths You Don’t Want to Get Sucked Into

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017

In this day and age, it’s hard to find someone who’s never broken, cracked, or dropped their smartphone in a toilet. While pretty much everyone has had a problem with their phone at least once that could be solved with a simple repair, there are still myths about phone repair businesses circulating and making people second guess the idea of taking their broken phone to a professional.

Myth #1: I Can Just Get a New Phone.

While people who have had their phones stolen should consider getting a new device, those with cracked screens or another minor issue will often find that it’s much cheaper to have their phone repaired rather than paying to replace the entire thing.

Myth #2: I Can Repair My Phone Myself.

Not a good idea. Most people wind up causing much worse damage by trying to fix their phones at home, and the DIY screen fixing kits sold on the Internet can sometimes be upwards of $200 apiece.

Myth #3: My Buddy Can Fix My Phone for Me.

Also not a good plan. If you ask a friend to repair your phone, there’s a good possibility they won’t know what they’re doing. They could potentially fry your device or cause even more problems, which could put you in a worse predicament than before. And is it really worth losing a friend just to save a couple bucks?

Myth #4: If I Get My Phone Repaired, I Won’t Be Able to Resell It.

This is untrue. Most carriers will work with you if you’ve had your phone repaired in the past, and you should still be able to resell it, even if it has been repaired. In addition, a working, undamaged phone is more likely to fetch a higher price than a cracked or broken phone that has never been repaired.

Myth #5: It’ll Take Forever to Get My Phone Back.

It usually doesn’t take long at all for a phone to be repaired or a screen to be replaced. In many cases, same-day service is an option, and most customers don’t have to wait more than an hour or two before they get their phones back.
