Back to School.
Can you believe it’s the middle of August already? The aisles of Target and office supply stores are filling up with three ring binders and color pencils and there’s a collective groan from kids realizing the days of summer are waning. The store at apple.com is running their familiar college special once again- $100 to spend in the Mac App Store when you buy a Mac for school. So get your lunch packed up and your boots tied tight, everybody.
Not much to share in the goings-on of Apple today, unless you live in China, in which case the iPhone is coming to a real Apple store near you. Apple is reportedly penning a deal with China Mobile, the world’s largest cellular service provider. So that’s something. Also iOS5 is in the beta phase. So lucky you if you’re a developer.
Well, we’re still a few weeks off from the all the autumn musings and football analysis (though we’ve haven’t been able to resist a few Chiefs tidbits), but it’s finally a little cooler here in Kansas City and that’s a huge relief after the weeks of 110 degree heat indexes. So we’ll take it for what it is and welcome the fall a little early. Enjoy your last few days of freedom, chilluns. Later.
